The creation of an expedition scholarship fund for 16-18 year old Plymouth area students on an expedition of the British Schools Exploring Society. The aim of the scholarship fund is to support one or more highly deserving young people who otherwise would not have been able to afford or consider such an opportunity. These scientific expeditions are a profound personal development opportunity. They are often the springboard for amazing careers. BSES was founded in 1932 by Murray Levick, a surviving member of Scott's expedition.
