The Teamwork Challenge
100 years ago Captain Scott and his men attempted a journey of 1766 miles to the pole and back.
Captain Scott made his final famous diary entry before dying, frozen and starved in a tent only 11 miles from the supplies depot that would probably have saved the lives of him and his colleagues, and less than 200 miles from completion. Our aim, on the occasion of his Centenary, is to complete the journey with the help of many hundreds of sledge pullers all over the country, each completing a few miles of sledge pull. Ideally in teams, this will be the teamwork challenge. In doing so we will mark the centenary of one of our most famous national figures, and we will raise funds to create adventure and exploration opportunities for our young people. We will also support the polar education work of the Scott Polar Research Institute, and we will raise funds for other charities that matter to us and our participants. To find out more...
